The Krabat Jockey Lite is the latest addition to Krabat's active children's chair series. The compact and modern design of the base makes it easy to use even when space is limited. The chair is height adjustable and the seat can be tilted. The Jockey Lite is available in three sizes; size 1 for children aged 2 to 7 years, size 2 for children aged 7 to 14 years and size 3 for young people aged 14 to 18 years. The saddle seat design gives the child a more upright position, ideal for nursery and school use.
Benefits of sitting on a saddle:
By opening the hip angle, the pelvis is positioned neutrally. With the pelvis in a neutral position, the natural S-curvature of the spine can be maintained over time. All major joints in the lower limbs are centered, promoting normal muscle tone and length. The hip joint is in the rest position in which the femoral head is in the acetabulum. The sitting position in the saddle seat can prevent complications such as muscle contractures, hip pain and nerve blocks. The saddle seat improves an active, upright sitting position instead of a passive, slouched sitting position.
